The Big Bang Competition, the UK’s top science, engineering, and technology competition for young people, is gearing up for an exciting 2024/25 season with a newly revealed panel of VIP judges.

We will crown The Big Bang Competition winners at The Big Bang Fair, during an exciting awards ceremony on 17 June 2025. On the day, participants will have the unique opportunity to showcase their projects to industry professionals, employers, and other young people.

This year’s VIP judges come from a diverse range of fields within STEM, from cutting-edge technology to inspiring scientists, including presenter Ruth Amos, science communicator Jon Chase, Jessica Gagen, Miss UK and aerospace engineer, and BBC Bitesize presenter Ellie Hurer.

Natasha Sudan, Senior Product Development Manager at EngineeringUK, commented:

“We are so pleased to welcome such an inspiring panel of judges for this year’s Big Bang Competition. Their expertise and passion for STEM shines through, and the panel can’t wait to meet the generation of innovators and inventors.

The Competition not only celebrates young people’s achievements but also provides them with the opportunity to build vital skills, gain confidence, and showcase their potential on a national stage.”
