What are medical devices and how can you make them?
Join us to get up close and hands on with medical devices.
Our hands-on exciting activities include:
- The Escape Boxes. Can you solve each of the puzzles to crack the code and get into the boxes? Then, can you complete them? If you can pass the challenge, you will learn more about how to design, create and test a joint implant, like a hip or knee replacement.
– The Bone Cement Activity, where you can perform a hip replacement surgery.
- The Model Cadaver Activity, where you practice using stapling and suture devices to help hold tissues together.
– The 3D Heart Model Activity, which includes virtual reality headsets to do the same work as cardiologists would and work inside a heart!
